Just give me sunshine through the autumn.
Sweet snow to the spring.
Corn by the water of an old mill stream.
And you give me all.

Daniel Elliott is a multidisciplinary artist from the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia, currently residing in the New England region. His work is driven by a fascination with the mundane, the weird, and the past.

After wrapping up high school in the early 2000’s Daniel immediately found himself falling into the world of the advertising industry thanks to his knowledge of the Macromedia Flash software (now Adobe Animate), a program he only had experience with due to his making of animated cartoons in his free time… and when he was supposed to be in class. This took him on a journey over the following decades, working around Australia, and as far away as Canada, working on projects for the likes of Coca-Cola, Google and Netflix.

After returning to Australia in 2017, Daniel made the choice to leave the big cities and big brands behind him in favor of smaller and more intimate projects where he could exert more creative control and experiment more with different media formats such as video and photography.

With a great love of the tactile presentation of media from the 70s and 80s, both animated and live action, Daniel strives to bring a level of grit and imperfection to his work you don’t often find in the increasingly clean digital media landscape, with the belief that hand crafted imperfection has more value now than ever.
