Short Film: Coastal Path

Over the long weekend, I had the opportunity to walk the Coastal Path from Lennox Head to Ballina in the Northern Rivers. It’s a 13km trail that takes you past several beaches and headlands. With perfect weather, and being one to never look a gift horse in the mouth, I decided to bring my drone and 2 cameras with me as well, turning what should have been a 2 1/2 hour walk into a 6 hour spec shoot and hike.

Best of all, I forgot to clean one of the camera sensors before starting the adventure...

That said, I managed to get some shots I’m pretty happy with, getting just that little bit closer to the 16mm look and feel of Morning of the Earth (1972). Shooting at sunrise makes all the difference. I doubt this footage will ever lead to any work, but as always, it’s about learning and improving.
