Spark Festival 2024
Some gigs are too small to warrant their own project page, and this shoot for The Spark Festival was one of those projects, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth sharing right? After all, what are blogs for?
The Spark Festival recently made its way to Armidale and I was invited to capture the Fireside Chat (or a yule log video side chat depending on how you want to look at it) on AI. Guest speaker Alan was joined by Lou Conway of the SRI on a deep dive into how AI is revolutionizing industries. From discussing how AI is reshaping customer service to exploring its broader societal impacts, Alan shared insights on the future of technology. His thoughts on a future where AI anticipates our needs seamlessly were particularly eye-opening.
While I am not personally a big fan of AI, atleast in creative and arts based industries, I am not entirely opposed to it as a tool either, I use AI to clean up audio files from video shoots at events on a semi regular basis. That said, it was an exciting oppertunity to learn not just from the experiences of those more experienced in the field, but also the thoughts and concerns from those who are yet to be affected.
