Earlier this year I had the opportunity to revisit my 2009 music video “Like A Brother” for The Basics. The original flash derived .swf animation file was completely decompiled and upscaled from sub Standard Definition to the 4K cinemascope format.

Due to the nature of software changes over the last 14 years many of the effects had to be redone from scratch which lead to some scenes being reanimated from the ground up along with other small changes such as improved framing in many shots and completely remastered audio.

In the end, this remaster is the original music video as Nathan Malone and myself saw it in our heads, at a time when the technology wasn’t there to support that dream.
