Visitors From Dreams was invited by Tamworth Regional Gallery to conduct a series of school holiday workshops as part of the William Kentridge: I Am Not Me, the Horse Is Not Mine touring exhibition. Held over two days, the workshops introduced students to the art of stop-motion animation.

Despite the short two-hour timeframe for each session, students enthusiastically embraced the challenge of creating their own animated films. Using everyday items and tools found around the home, participants explored a variety of materials, including charcoal, cut paper, found objects, and toys.

The workshops guided students through the process of story development and introduced them to the fundamentals of stop-motion animation. Most importantly, they learned that the key skill required for animation is patience.

Additional workshops during the exhibition were led by Sarah Easerman and Todd Fuller, further enriching the creative experience for students.
