Winner of 2024 Most Innovative Youth Week Program

Tenterfield Youth celebrated as WINNERS of the ‘Most Innovative Youth Week Program’ at the Local Government NSW – Youth Week Awards for the ‘StoryQuest & Outdoor Adventure’ 2024 Youth Week program! This dynamic program gave voice to young people of Tenterfield through digital storytelling mediums of stop-motion and micro-stories, culminating in an outdoor adventure trail for the whole family that included skateboard clinics, crafty party activity tent and a digital sculpture trail!

As part of Youth Week, Visitors From Dreams was honored to conduct a digital stop motion animation workshop in Tenterfield, NSW. This workshop aimed to teach young participants the fundamentals of animation using everyday tools and props commonly found in Australian homes.

Our primary challenge was to provide comprehensive instruction to youth with no prior animation experience while also guiding them to create a short film during the workshop. The final animations were proudly showcased as part of a Story Quest adventure trail along Tenterfield Creek, highlighting the creativity and talent of the young participants.
